Circular Energy Group was proudly invited as one of the keynote speaker at The Industry Climate Action Summit held at the Hilton Hotel, Sydney, on 30th Jan 2023. This exclusive event was hosted by the Smart Energy Council and was a landmark, invite-only, high profile event which highlighted the economic and employment opportunities that come from taking action on climate change in Australia.
The Summit encouraged Australia’s biggest companies and biggest polluters to reduce their emissions in Australia by highlighting the opportunities to do so and the private and public benefits, including for regional Australia, from doing so.
Among other things, the Summit also featured opportunities from:
- Renewable hydrogen and ammonia;
- Renewable steel and aluminium;
- Electrification of heavy transport; and
- Embracing energy efficiency and shifting to renewable energy and storage for almost all operations.
The Summit also highlighted the trade and investment opportunities from embracing smart energy and a zero carbon economy, including through enhanced zero emissions partnerships with the United States, India, Indonesia, the European Union, Japan and South Korea.
The Summit draw on the Australian/Austrian co-led Net Zero Industries Mission and the Global Methane Pledge and brought together leading policy makers, the renewables and renewables hydrogen industry, responsible investment bodies and Australia’s biggest companies.
